Construction Cost Estimating

Quantity takeoffs, budget estimates and independent review of contractor pricing.

Knowing what a project should cost is a different discipline from designing it, and it is the question owners are usually least equipped to answer alone. An independent estimate gives you a number to plan against and a basis for judging the numbers you are quoted.

Common questions

Can you estimate before the drawings are finished?

Yes — a conceptual estimate works from scope and area rather than a full takeoff. It carries a wider range, and that range is stated rather than hidden.

I have three bids that are far apart. Can you tell me why?

Usually. Wide spreads normally mean the contractors priced different scopes, and leveling the bids against a common takeoff shows where they diverge.

Bring us the project.

Send the scope and you will get an approach, a timeline and a proposal.
